The Soulbreach Algorithm is not a game that exists. This wiki is an attempt to describe it anyways.

A comicbook-style cyberpunk RPG, The Soulbreach Algorithm features Live Arenas, gladiatorial-esque dungeon crawls broadcast to an international audience keen to watch their favorite athlete-entertainers triumph over Artificial Reality (AR) obstacles and enemies. The Live Arena Combat Association (LACA) prides itself that the blood is real even if the environments are artificial. You play as Alex Victory and, soon after the game begins, your soul is ripped from your body by a city-wide Soulbreach event and modified to assist you in fighting your way through simulations. After bringing your dysfunctional team, Team Victory, together to investigate the Soulbreach Event, you discover the deadly consequences of technologically modifying your soul—a danger that LACA seems both aware of and determined to keep quiet in favor of a large-scale event featuring their athletes’ souls laid bare for their adoring public. As the situation deteriorates and your teammates fall one-by-one, LACA grows increasingly determined to stop you from exposing their exploitative actions. You must outmaneuver LACA in a race against your own mortality, trying to keep the dysfunctional family you’ve built from your team intact while hunting a solution that will prevent everyone affected by the Soulbreach Algorithm from dying a barely-understood death.

Gameplay is wrapped around ranger/hunter-style play, where your extracted soul acts as a controllable combat entity in addition to your player avatar. The narrative is meant to be ‘crack treated seriously’—a.k.a. a ridiculous situation treated absolutely straight, with both affection and self-awareness.
